Active International is looking for an experienced professional Senior National Broadcast Negotiator for our busy National Broadcast Group.
The Senior National Broadcast negotiator is comprised of the overall execution and management of our client’s media efforts. This includes but not limited to planning, negotiating, establishing trade deals, relationship development, and supervising.
The specific duties are:
New and Existing Business Planning:
·Evaluate new and existing business to determine the feasibility of funding a schedule with trade credits.
·Develop strategies to help initiate and stimulate business.
Researching and understanding contractual agreements with Active’s clients
·Negotiate media schedules on behalf of Active’s clients and oversee the successful execution of the entire media effort.
·The Senior Negotiator is responsible for all negotiations and stewardship for their accounts (i.e. placement, oversee billing, posting)
Establishing Trade Arrangements
·Explain the trading process to our vendors with the goal of establishing a trading arrangement.
·Analyzing potential trade deals with the media suppliers.
·Assist management with implementation of trading strategies.
·Develop trade techniques that could be applied to broaden our business.
Client, Agency & Vendor Relationship
·Establish and maintain strong client and agency relationships. This includes all client contact (i.e. marketing and finance) as well as agency counterparts.
·Maintain and develop positive vendor relationships.
·Initiate meetings, lunches, dinners and or any other activities associated with formulating a bonding relationship with clients, agencies and vendors.
·Departmental support (on all departmental levels).
·Provide guidance/supervision/ leadership to junior staffing.
Must have a strong agency background.
Must be a seasoned negotiator with at least 5 years of agency experience and a positive work ethic.
Buying portfolio should include an extensive and diversified list of clients.
Experienced in placing Network (all dayparts), Cable and Syndication programming.
Must have excellent communication, sales and presentation skills.
