Primary Purpose - Support and assist in the development and execution of inventory strategies through the analysis and management of all cable and satellite network spot inventory in order to make recommendations that will maximize revenue and inventory management.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities
 
Distribute all rate cards as needed. This would include the documentation and upload of rates into electronic rate card if applicable.
Assist in the analysis of inventory and rate practices to develop optimum revenue opportunities. This would include the execution of rate adjustments and allocation changes as needed.
Create metrics for measuring impact of both rate and inventory adjustments.
Participates in Inventory review/allocation meeting which would include discussion and evaluation on sell out levels, average rates and yield management.
Import network programming and formats into t&b system and implement manual changes as required.
Manage, coordinate and allocate inventory in the t&b system for all business needs.
Process Inventory reports as requested.
Create and distribute Inventory skims and monitor sellout.
Stay current with strategies, trends, initiatives and best practices within the company and competitive landscape.
Assist in coordination of the flow of information and communication between sales, sales support and traffic and inventory departments. Participate in periodic meetings between sales, research, inventory and marketing as it relates to inventory, rates, ratings and packages.
Distribute political rate cards, including candidate, issue and advocate. This would include the documentation and upload of rates into electronic rate card if applicable.
Monitor and maintain compliance to the political lowest unit rate (LUR).
Pull reports and monitor orders within sales automation software and T&B systems.
Works closely with Sales Analyst to identify open inventory opportunities and oversold areas.
Consults with Sales Analyst, Sales Managers and Sports Managers as it relates to inventory for creating packages.
Work with Financial Analyst and Sales Analyst on historical trends and forecasting for revenue opportunities.
Assist Inventory rep with Quality control of data entered into T&B/Sales automation software.
Coordinate training of new inventory procedures where applicable.
Mentor to Inventory Rep.
Special projects as assigned.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Must be available for overtime or extended hours, as needed.

Minimum Requirements Experience/skills and qualifications:
Four years traffic system experience.
Two years cable industry traffic system experience.
Excellent oral and written presentation skills, as well as the ability to handle financial planning and reporting.
Must possess effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Analytical ability to monitor and identify trends in performance metrics and data.
Previous experience with rate setting a plus.
 
Education:
College degree preferred.
