CAB’s Cynthia Perkins-Roberts Named to Nielsen African-American Advisory Council
November 6, 2006 -- The CAB is proud to announce Ms. Cynthia Perkins-Roberts, vice president diversity sales and business development has been named to Nielsen Media Research’s new African American Advisory Council (AAAC). The AAAC will consist of 12 industry, community, and business leaders and will advise Nielsen on a range of issues involving the sampling of African Americans for television audience measurement in the U.S. The AAAC will also assist Nielsen in reaching out to African American communities and those within the television industry. Members of the Council come from organizations including the NAACP, National Urban League, the Black Filmmakers Foundation and the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
“Nielsen’s selection of Cynthia reflects her tireless work serving cable’s diverse spectrum of networks and their advertising clients,” said president and CEO Sean Cunningham. “Moreover, it demonstrates that the CAB’s effort to raise awareness to the strength and value of multicultural programming on cable is being recognized by leaders within the broader television community.”
