Gary Tietjen serves as director, client services for the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau (CAB). His primary responsibility includes interfacing with cable systems and networks to increase advertising revenue for the organization’s members. Tietjen also assists with the coordination and presentation of seminars across the U.S. with the goal of educating advertisers and their agencies about the value and mix cable programming can provide for their products and brands. A seasoned sales trainer, Tietjen provides a host of professional development skills to the sales teams of systems across the country. Tietjen has been with the CAB since 1996.

His experience includes nearly three decades in cable and radio advertising sales management positions. Prior to joining the CAB, Tietjen served as assistant advertising sales manager for Cablevision of Long Island, New York. While there he was instrumental in launching the sales teams for several networks most notably News 12 local cable news network and SportsChannel which delivered professional sports programming in the New York market.

Tietjen also has extensive experience in radio serving as a station manager and general sales manager for several Long Island-based radio stations including WGBB, WBAB and WLUX. A member of the Board of Directors for the Long Island Radio Broadcasters Association, Tietjen is regularly asked to speak at seminars and events across a wide spectrum of topics affecting the radio medium.

Gary, his wife and four children make their home on Long Island.
