Account Executive

Location:  Austin, TX 

The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks an Account Executive for our Media Sales Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:
Secure new advertising clients; Perform extensive cold calling to develop client list; Conduct customer needs analysis to ascertain prospective/clients’ needs; Prepare formal advertising proposals for prospective and existing clients; Service existing clients as assigned according to Time Warner Cable Media Sales described procedures; Meet defined sales quotas and goals; Prepare sales activity reports; Prepare and review advertising contracts and confirmations; Submit new orders, copy instructions, and other required documents; Collect on schedule commercials; Perform accounts; May write, assist in production, and other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, are required; Must be able to quickly identify sales problems and provide effective resolutions; Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times; Must possess a own vehicle, valid driver’s license and safe driving record; Must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, possess desire to win and ability to be a self-starter; Requires ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing; Must be flexible, creative and innovative in utilizing resources and adjusting priorities to meet clients’ needs consistent with Time Warner Cable’s standards and procedures; Requires ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines; Requires ability to think through a problem, analyze and break it down into parts to resolve or come up with a logical solution; Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with clients and carry out assigned tasks. Must be professional, personable, enthusiastic and able to meet and relate to clients, co-workers, management and diverse environments with ease and comfort. Must be committed to provide exceptional service; Use of personal vehicle, computer/printer, telephone, fax machine, copier and calculator.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of two years college is preferred and/or appropriate work experience. Two years in advertising media sales is preferred. Advertising television or radio marketing experience is preferred. Experience in selling to owners and managers of businesses and agencies.

Finally, the employee generally works in an indoor office environment; overtime maybe required.
